Director: Kotaro Muramoto
Principal of Nihongo Online School
In September 2019, he founded "Nihongo Online School". Since then, has been teaching Japanese online lessons, with a total of over 1,000 students.
He has designed an individualized curriculum based on student’s needs and study goal. And is conscious of making the classes speech-centered in order to improve students’ speaking skills.
The school asks students to submit homework assignments worth 2 hours per lesson to improve faster. By supporting students with these features, students are able to efficiently improve Japanese language skills.

BAI-san, Student from China

Bai-san started learning Japanese as a complete beginner to prepare for studying at a Japanese language school in Japan. Through regular one-on-one online lessons, he has been building a strong foundation in Japanese while developing the confidence to use what he has learned in conversation.

Q1. What motivated you to start learning Japanese, and what was it like starting from a complete beginner level?

日本語を勉強しようと思ったきっかけと、初級レベルから学習を始めてみて感じたことを教えてください。
I started learning Japanese because I am preparing to study at a Japanese language school in Japan. Since I was a complete beginner and had never studied Japanese before, I wanted to build a solid foundation step by step before beginning my studies in Japan. At first, learning a completely new language felt challenging, especially when it came to understanding grammar, vocabulary, and how to use what I had learned in actual conversations. Having a teacher who can explain things clearly has made it much easier for me to continue studying with confidence.

Q2. How have the teachers helped you continue learning Japanese?

先生のサポートについて、特に良いと感じていることを教えてください。
The teachers are professional and kind, which makes it easy for me to enjoy and continue my studies. Their teaching methods are very thorough, so I can always feel at ease during the lessons. Whenever there is something I do not understand, the teachers explain it in an easy-to-understand way until I fully understand it. I also appreciate that I can ask questions without hesitation. This supportive learning environment has helped me stay motivated even when I find Japanese difficult.

Q3. What do you like most about the lessons at Nihongo Online School?

Nihongo Online Schoolのレッスンで特に良いと感じていることを教えてください。
One thing I really like is that there are many opportunities for conversation during class. This allows me to naturally practice using the Japanese I have learned rather than simply memorizing grammar and vocabulary. The homework corrections are also very detailed. By receiving clear feedback from my teachers, I can better understand my mistakes and work on overcoming my weaknesses. The combination of careful explanations, conversation practice, and detailed feedback has made the lessons very effective for me.
