●Reading: She can read about 60-70% of hiragana and 30-40% of katakana.

※we will evaluate your Japanese ability in terms of Reading, Speaking, Listening aspects.

●Learning plan Enrollment course: 3 month course (35 hours lessons + 70 hours homework)

●Learning approach

Teaching materials: Original text, Minna no Nihongo, Flash card

Class frequency: 3 times/week (3 month course)

How to proceed with the class:

Step 1: Be able to read 100% of hiragana and katakana

・While checking the order of strokes, ask students to write each item in their notebooks one by one, making sure there are no mistakes in writing.

・Practice speed reading of Hiragana using vocabulary flashcards. Have students become familiar with hiragana by using flashcards and repeating the words aloud.

・Practice listening to and writing the words read by the teacher at the same time.

Step 2: Start learning grammar and vocabulary with Minna no Nihongo

・In addition to the practice problems in the text, have students create sentences on their own using new grammar and vocabulary, with the aim of making them stick.

・At the student’s request, they wanted to study slowly and steadily, so the first half of the class was set aside for review.

●Achievement

▶︎Master Hiragana and Katakana in 12 hours of lessons.

▶︎She can read N5 beginner level words smoothly.

▶︎She can write the N5 beginner level words you have heard in hiragana and katakana.

▶︎Learn grammar and vocabulary up to 8 lessons of Minna no Nihongo. She got a high rate of correct answers on practice questions, and she was able to talk about her own life. (Example) I woke up at 7 o’clock today. I went to bed at 11 o’clock yesterday. I want to buy a lot of clothes at the department store tomorrow.

Overall:

Overall: The students really enjoyed learning Japanese, and she seemed to be able to feel that her Japanese was improving. Rather than learning at a fast pace, she was able to steadily acquire Japanese because she learned slowly at her own pace. There were times when students had to cancel classes due to work commitments, but we were able to offer make-up lessons if we were notified in advance, so she seemed to be satisfied with that system.

Good luck with your work in Japan!
