Message from the principal

I am Kotaro Muramoto, the principal of Nihongo Online School.

Nihongo Online School was made in Sep 2019 based in Tokyo Japan with a mission “to create a Japanese society where people in the world can play an active role in Japan”. Since 2019, we have been providing Japanese language education and training to individuals and corporations to improve Japanese skills.

Why did we start Nihongo online school? I originally worked for an IT company in Tokyo and worked with engineers from China, Vietnam, Korea, and other foreign countries. From my own experience, I saw many issues due to their communication skills in Japanese. Although their abilities and technical skills are high, they are not given opportunities to play an active role because of their conversational ability in Japanese. I thought this was a very wasteful situation for both the company and the individual.

Therefore, we believe that our role is to support people from overseas to play a more active role by improving their communication level in Japanese.

On the website and in the trial lesson, the instructor will introduce and explain about the Nihongo online school.

Experience

After working as a sales instructor at a foreign company, she became a Japanese language teacher.

From 2019, she has been working at Japanese Online School LLC, mainly in charge of beginner level,
She practices effective ways to keep students learning Japanese according to their different learning environments and motivations. She is known for her coaching, rather than teaching, approach to instruction.

Each student has a different environment and motivation for learning Japanese. It may change over the course of the lessons. We will practice effective methods according to the situation. I try to teach with an awareness of coaching rather than teaching.

I started my career at a Japanese language school in Bolivia and have been teaching at Nihongo online school since 2019.

Experience

I myself am interested in foreign cultures and languages, so I find it very stimulating to meet students from different backgrounds and share lesson time with them.
I am always happy when students are able to express themselves well in the Japanese they have just learned, and I feel happy to be teaching.

In the future, I would like to be able to teach Japanese through Japanese anime, manga, and traditional culture as well. I would also like to constantly research how I can learn Japanese more efficiently, using my own experience in learning foreign languages.
I try to explain words and sentence patterns using a variety of examples so that students can easily understand under what circumstances they are used. I also provide many opportunities for students to speak up, so that they can learn in a participatory manner with a focus on output.
